Aside from providing unprecedented empirical material, these surveys contribute to highlighting a range of less visible objects and practices. This paper adds to this set of case studies by focusing on the student housing of the Centres Régionaux des Oeuvres Universitaires (CROUS). In addition to providing insight into technical systems and work carried out by technicians, this action research examines the forms of technical mediation that could place housing upkeep, maintenance and repair activities back into the hands of those who live there. |
