Vimal Mishra

Vimal Mishra is an academic, researcher and climate scientist. He is a Vikram Sarabhai Chair Professor at the Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar, India. His research focuses on Climate variability and change, land-atmospheric interactions, land surface hydrological modelling, operational hydrology to monitor and predict hydrologic extremes, and hydroclimatic extremes and their physical understanding (droughts, floods, and heatwaves). For his research work, he was awarded Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar Prize, in 2022 by the Council of Scientific & Industrial Research, India.
